Quiet Your Inner Critic

In this intermediate hatha class with Helen, we explore the possibility that yoga can support us in quieting our inner critic, especially when we move through poses that require our full focus. Through twists, backbends and balances, you are invited to remind yourself of all that you are, while releasing that voice that tries to tell you otherwise.

Fun class which I’d describe as on the cusp between beginner and intermediate levels. One sequence has a kundalini yoga influence which may not be to everyone’s tastes. Helen teaches with a playfulness which shines through.
I have been doing yoga for almost 6 years. I do it for help with anxiety and self-doubt. Your classes are so much fun and your comments during each class help me work on my self-doubt while usually laughing at myself at the same time. I usually journal afterward to reflect on your comments. Great combination to help me realize I don't have to be perfect. Thank you Helen!
I have loved your classes through pregnancy (with lots of modifications) and postpartum, as my body and balance keep changing. Your cueing, modifications, and encouragement are wonderful.
