Wow, I feel like I just released so much mental turmoil through that. I started crying about half way through it was just so beautiful the way Nicky chose her words. To truly love yourself takes time and this video has helped me so much.

i noticed some of you also cried. i started crying the second my whole body relaxed (about 1 minute after laying down) do i just keep going through while crying? i felt like it was messing up my breathing. i can't relax and cry at the same time. i've been going through some weird emotional stuff lately. is this my body's way of just letting me know i have more crying to do? more emotions to let out? thanks.

Great questions.

To answer question 1: It is really common to cry during yoga especially when you allow yourself to relax (and let go). It is okay to continue the class while crying. It is also okay to take a break while crying. If you decide to take a break, child's pose could be a lovely place to go as it can be quite nourishing and relaxing for your nervous system. Please do what feel best for you. There is no right or wrong way to do this. Honour whatever emotions come up and give yourself some love. You deserve it.

To answer questions 2&3: Your body is intelligent and it knows exactly what it needs to heal. When you allow yourself the relax the natural healing mechanisms kick in more readily. Trust yourself and your body. You've got this.

Sending love and healing thoughts your way,
Nicky xo
