This hatha flow yoga class with Melissa has a nice, slow and steady pace. She leads you through a safe and thorough practice, with lots of gentle stretching for the whole body. It's a great class for your back and spine, it's relaxing and at times challenging. You'll feel refreshed and grounded at the end of the hour. Expect a few minutes of silence at the start of the practice and a long savasana at the end.

The balance of cueing and silence are perfect for me. I especially appreciated the psoas stretch, as well as the strapped version of dancer pose. The edited description alerts practitioners as to the long savasana at the beginning and end. Thank you, Melissa, for another lovely gentle practice.

Hi all,

Really enjoyed the class - my situation might be a bit specific, since I had a back injury and have long limbs, but my range of motion for the all-fours twist movement was very limited, and I didn't really know what to do to get into a gentler twist there. Other than that, just what I needed!

Thank you,
-Adam

Hi Adam! You could try a seated twist instead - sit anyway you like and twist to one side. You still get a twist and it hopefully suits your body better! Otherwise you could hang out in all fours and move your body however you like or slide back into child's pose and chill out.

Thank you Melissa! I greatly enjoy all of your classes. I began teaching yoga part-time in late 2014 and your classes are always an inspiration - genuinely beneficial and informative - the type of style, focus and guidance I strive to offer in my classes. I love your emphasis on engaging the abdominal core - something I always need personally - and believe it is integral to a healthy body and yoga practice. Your classes are truly a nuturimg gift for body, mind and spirit. Abundant gratitude and blessings to you! :))
Namasté,
Mary
