Exploring Your Patterns
This practice is two practices in one. The first round is holding each pose for one breath as we move through the sequence and the second round is holding the same poses but for ten breaths each time. We move through the sun salutations slowly, counting the full five breaths for each movement. The challenge in this class is not the poses but rather noticing the mind and our resistance to doing things differently.
This can either be done as a stand-alone class or as Day 9 of Cultivate Your Inner Teacher 14-Day Intermediate Yoga Challenge.

Part of me didn't enjoy the fast pace as I couldn't get each pose "right" and found myself wanted to slow down. Another part of me however enjoyed the fast pace and how I was always interested in the what's next?. It reminded me of my usual approach to life, moving fast to "make the most of life". The slow pace, I loved I was able to feel each pose and listen to that inner teacher as you say. Lots of resistance came up as well. As I felt the more time I was in a pose that were difficult for me, the more my mind wanted to not accept the experience i was having at the time. It's a great opportunity to practice accepting reality, I think. I really enjoyed this class and it has taught me a lot. I think I will be doing this class again soon. Thank you Jonni-Lyn.
This is also a very good post which I really enjoyed reading. It is not every day that I have the possibility to see something like this..https://www.sknatural.com/product/phool-makhana/
A wonderful practice for New Years Day 2021. The perfect time to pay attention to ‘old patterns’. Namaste
Repeating the same sequence twice at different speeds was an interesting concept and a completely different experience each time. The challenge in the first sequence was the fast pace while the challenge in the second sequence was the sensations that arise in the longer holds. I definitely prefer the longer holds because they provide time to arrive in each posture.
