I consider myself quite flexible all things considered, and have seen some tremendous progress through the beginner progressing to intermediate program. I'm just wondering if it's common for larger bodies to struggle with binds as much as I do? I feel like I often have excess flesh in the way of getting fully into a bind (or being able to get into poses like heron pose and being able to keep both sitz bones on the floor), but I'm not sure if it's a flexibility issue or something that will improve as I work toward other body goals.

You're absolutely right. Every body is different and there are many physical restrictions that can prevent people from moving fully into a pose, such as a bigger body, shorter/longer limbs, joint mobility, etc. However, without seeing you in the pose it's difficult to know how much is due to flexibility limits.

I did this evening class in the morning as part of the beginner-to-inter. program. Always enjoy David's pace. The binds are getting there but it will be a while before I can connect my fingers.

Nice delivery, clear instructions. In my view, not recommended for people with tricky knees. I just couldn't safely do some of the floor work, though I don't have trouble with most other yoga poses.

I agree. I missed alternatives for tricky knees or disconfort in the knees during the poses with 1 knee bended.

A very enjoyable class with some great twists and hamstring stretches. David's voice is slow and sure and his cues keep coming without a pause which I liked. It did seem like a good evening class but could be any time.

My one quibble was the music which was loud compared to David's voice and also distracting since it didn't match any of our movements. It would be great if you could have a no music option.

The class though is excellent and I recommend it.

Thank you,

James
