Beginner II

This class is slow, gentle and offers a deep opening for the muscles around the hips, lower back and legs. Its pace alone allows you to sink into a beautiful state of calm. Add the beautiful sounds of Craig Paterson, master musician, and you will be lulled into a deep, lovely, relaxed state. I've been dealing with lower back issues along with tight hips and hamstring issues for some time. I run 2 x a week and complete HIIT sessions 2 x a week; after each session, I make sure to stretch. Even with my active lifestyle and stretching routine, I am still dealing with tight hips and hamstring along with lower back issues. This amazing routine is what I needed and I can feel a difference after 2 sessions.

Great teacher with clear instructions, calm spirit, precise movements, and great flow. I'm not rushed into the positions and the time in each position is perfect. I have bookmarked this session and many others with David as the instructor. Thank you

During savasana I literally felt vibration of prana. The stretches and the rhytmic steadiness of your guidance helped me in awakening it. I very often feel like it`s blocked and I am looking for the classes that would follow a smooth transition without rushing through the poses at the expense of the commentary about the breath. I feel very grateful.

This was absolutely amazing. I am an athlete with chronic back and hip injuries and soreness, and this helped release all my muscles. I highly recommend this video to whoever had back issues. Because sometimes you might not realize your back pain is coming from your hips and hamstrings.

This reactive is perfect for first-thing-in-the-morning. I loved seeing the geese and ducks wandering around in the background. My hips, legs, and lower back feel beautifully stretched, and I enjoyed the short guided relaxation at the end. Thank you David!

This session is perfect if you have stiff, painful hips. I went to my doctor due to extreme pain in my right hip, but mentioned to her that I was just starting yoga for my hip. She encouraged me to continue and in a few sessions the hip pain was gone! Thank you, David, for this wonderful sequence of stretches, but most importantly for having the vision to begin this website.

Thankyou for this lovely class - some beautiful stretches just where I need them. I seem to be getting a bit creaky these days, especially in the hips, and these stretches really feel good. The music is lovely too and the meditation at the end had me feeling beautifully relaxed, perfect just before bedtime. I like to do the same class over a few times and this is my new favourite. I am not a naturally flexible person - often it's uncomfortable - so this class was a very welcome discovery. Slow, steady and deep it has helped me touch my toes (finally!) as well as being a wonderful class to loosen tight hips and an even tighter lower back. This class is the perfect accompaniment for anyone who is a runner, hiker or lover of long, vigorous walks.

I hoped this video would help with some pain I've been having in my lower back (sacroiliac joint). This didn't quite do it for me in that area, but my legs and hips felt AMAZING. I will be coming back to this video for sure. If you are having general muscle pain in your lower back I can see this being helpful as well.

I was so sore after training hard (running and cycling) all week. I kept trying to stretch out and it wasn't quite doing the job. I found this video and it was the relief I needed! I needed this after a long, hot jog on hilly, uneven pavement. I followed it up with some nice forward folds to take advantage of my open/relaxed lower back and hips. Then I gave my feet and calves a nice gentle massage on my mat. :)

I feel a new space in my hips, hamstrings, and low back. And I had a great upper back stretch around the sorest parts of my shoulder blades. Very therapeutic session that felt much shorter than 47 minutes. The narrative was easy to follow without constant watching, and the guide to let the muscle go helped so much to feel the stretch deeper. Thank you!

I pushed too hard yesterday on a run/strength session in the park, and was hobbling about last night and this morning. I feel brand new with this gentle but deep class! I still have a bit of stiffness, but the difference is night and day. This is a go-to for sure!
