This class is slow, gentle and offers a deep opening for the muscles around the hips, lower back and legs. Its pace alone allows you to sink into a beautiful state of calm. Add the beautiful sounds of Craig Paterson, master musician, and you will be lulled into a deep, lovely, relaxed state. This was the first (of many) DYWM classes I took, and it's still one of my favorites, one that I return to regularly. I love the pace, the stretches and strap work.

I've had this class for years bought the download years ago before the site was even here off a different site I think. I wanted to thank David for keeping it up because at times I lost it due to device issues.

Just for some background though. I had surgery on 9/11 major kidney surgery they cut me 12 inches around in an attempt to save my dying left kidney.

Fast forward 5 years. They saved my kidney but never sent me to any physical therapy after I guess it didn't occur to them and of course I didn't know any better. I started have pain and water on the back of my knee. Went in for an MRI they didn't find much.

Sent me to physical therapy. My therapist was amazing she knew to look for other areas not just at my knees. Turns out my hips shifted as I healed in addition the muscles were all skewed so I have muscles firing for things they shouldn't be and muscles not working when they should be. I get really tight in my back and hips due to this. She was able to manipulate it to the point where I'm out of pain.

Fast forward again a few years. I've moved since then and getting into a osteopath was getting harder and harder. I found this video and I have to say i'm terrible about doing it every day. Today I know when I start to hurt just do the video for a few days it takes the pain away. I don't have to worry how long i will be in pain before i can get to the osteopath again. In fact I don't have to go at all anymore.

A very nice slow class which stretched my hips a lot, there were also some good deep twists. Recommended, thank you David!
