This class is slow, gentle and offers a deep opening for the muscles around the hips, lower back and legs. Its pace alone allows you to sink into a beautiful state of calm. Add the beautiful sounds of Craig Paterson, master musician, and you will be lulled into a deep, lovely, relaxed state. It works gently but deeply into the hip joints, extremely needed in my case. The length and pace of the class are perfect. Hope to find such a class for the upper part of the body to release neck and shoulder tension.

This was the first class I did with DYWM and it's still my favorite go-to class. David's soothing voice makes into almost a moving meditation when you know the stretches from having done them many many times.

I've used this video on and off for years. I lost the link a couple years ago and recently figured it out again. I have 4 slip discs in my back. Periodically I overdue things and I end up with major lower back issues. To the point I can barely move, sleep, etc. I owe you my life. Recently about bed ridden, after 1 night of this video I was about 60% better. I will never lose the link to this video ever again. Thank you thank you thank you

Loved this class, David. Thank you so much. Exactly what my hips and lower back needed after yesterday's long trail run.

One small thing I noticed was that while I started the class sitting on a block and left it there for forward bends, I noticed I had a more difficult stretch going back into that modified camel pose with it there. I took the block out and was able to get back to my elbows and felt a much better stretch in my quad.

Thanks again for this class and so many others. I am very grateful for doyogawithme. Shoutout to my guru, Fiji. ;-)

I had injured my back lifting 40 boxes of heavy books 3 weeks ago, had been doing my regular yoga routines to try to reduce the pain, had an intense massage and then slipped into a pot hole reinjuring it again. Immediately when I got home I found this video. What an utter relief to ease the pain!! The tennis balls in the sock helped get at trigger points and release the muscle knots. Thank you so much David!!

I have arthritis and some osteoporosis which causes pain. My hips and lower back used to be very tight. I do this class 4-5 times a week and not only is my pain nearly gone, I have so much more mobility in those areas. Thank you for an incredible class - your pacing and cues are perfect for me. I cannot thank you enough.

I like the flow, but I would have loved to see more stretches of the hip flexors. Those of us with desk jobs could really use the work in this area.

Hi there! Thanks so much for the class. I really enjoy all of David's classes, and this setting was very beautiful although where possible I prefer the direct speaking rather than the voiceover. My hips are very tight but I'm not able to get the full benefit from the hip stretches since my knees are very loose and prone to injury (hyperflexibility) so i'm having to be super careful in all the legs crossed, knees bent type postures. Any tips, apart from keeping the feet flexed which definitely seems to help? I feel my knees are really holding the rest of my body back!

I had tried this session once before with "painful" results and I believe the pain was due to my attitude. This time, with a relaxed quiet frame of mind it was much more beneficial. Thank you David for the gentle directions and especially for the mindful relaxation at the end. The music gives a fantastic benefit!

This was the first class I did with DYWM on a ski trip when my hips were hurting. Since then it's my go-to class when the hips and lower back are tight. Right now I am doing Fiji's 14 days challenge but needed to do this class in the middle to stretch out. Now that the poses are familiar there is time to hold them longer :-).

This was my very first yoga class. I've been suffering from chronic lower back pain for a little while and was looking for something that would help stretch it out and gently release the 'ouch' areas. This was so good, and so relaxing!
