Deep Hip Opening Flow
This wonderfully thorough hatha yoga flow digs deep into the tension in the hips, legs and back, moving you through a gradual build-up to more challenging poses as the class progresses. Melissa maintains a calm energy, gentle pacing and difficulty level that is accessible to most students, although this would be considered as a more challenging beginner class.

I hadn't come back to this "old" class for a few years, and thought I'd revisit it today. It's absolutely worth it! Funny how I feel afterwards as if I'd done a deep plunge, yet it never felt long; it's no longer physically "challenging" (to me today) and every pose is familiar in itself, yet this class still makes them speak to each other in a very fruitful conversation. (Also, I suspect the three variations on cobra/locust are just what my silly repetition-averse brain needs.) Thank you, Melissa, for this class and for all the ones you recorded since!
I very much enjoy the stillness at the end and beginning of the practice. it’s vital that we all are able to find stillness in our lives, even though it may be uncomfortable to do so. Great hip openers and pace.
Great practice. Melissa is always calming and encouraging. The hardest parts for me are the slow start and the rest at the end, but that is just me being unable to quiet the monkey mind. I know they are integral parts of the practice. Good practice I will return to for sure. Thanks, Melissa!
Thank you, Melissa!
