I have always admired the lightness of Rachel's 'floating jump.' Although there are many postures available to me in my practice, I have always lacked a lightness in jumping to the top of my mat. Trust Rachel to offer yet another unique and skilful class! I have much to learn from this beginner's class, and may soon unlock a bit more 'float' through the pelvic lock :D --It makes so much practical sense, and yet I wasn't doing it!--
Thank you DYWM, and thank you Rachel. Always grateful.
(I would not classify this as a Beginner class) I have been practicing yoga for 6 years and I wish I had had this type of instruction earlier. Rachel's precise cues and specific instructions are wonderful - and using the block, especially in the first art of the class was a revelation! This led to feeling so much more stable in the standing postures, and I have never felt lighter when jumping from downward dog to standing forward fold. This class was an unexpected (and welcomed!) challenge. Thank you.
