This is my go to for being off the mat for a couple of weeks. Melissa’s wonderful calming voice and coaching bring me to a quiet place so my body can recharge. I usually do intermediate but I fine this challenging enough for me. This is my favorite. Please keep this video online!!!
I’m new to yoga (about a month into it), so I was a bit wary to try this class when Melissa said it was more of an intermediate class, but I’m so glad I tried it. I modified a few moves, but was able to do the class with no problems. It’s challenging for beginners, but it’s also fun and you can really feel the core strength building and getting stronger. Great class!
Just had back surgery, not ready for intermediate yet so when she said it was intermediate I almost didn't do this routine. I read some of the other comments and decided I'd go for it, so glad I did! It's a great beginner workout and really good for balance practice again.

I did hesitate to start it because you have it listed as a beginner class and Melissa introduces it as

This is pretty much a longer version of your Morning Hatha Yoga class, which I enjoy very much. This is great.

It's good to back off a bit. I am usually working at an intermediate level. But have been having continuing lower back issues. This was perfect. I really appreciate the reminders to stop if your "back gets cranky". I will keep much of this class in mind as I do yoga, at whatever level, in the future. Thank you Melissa.

I like Melissa's instruction. She provides excellent reminders about abdominals and core work. I think we've all heard at one point not to let our ribs pop, belly pouch out, and stop if the exercise is starting to involve other muscles. I've certainly heard it hundreds of times. When I hear Melissa say "mind the ribs" am I usually popping my ribs...darn straight! ;-)
I'm happy to do this class again and again. Great flow. I always welcome abds-core work and appreciate the "ribs", 'low back" ...reminders.

I am so grateful to have this program and to have Melissa's classes. This one was wonderful! I'm a more advanced, but older yogi, and sometimes a beginner's class is perfect for me. Did this after traveling for the weekend and felt all the creaks and cranks in my body relax away. Yay!

I felt so uplifted by this smooth flowing Hatha class. The transitions were perfect for my energy level today..which was very low. I told myself I wasn't going to eat dinner until I did a yoga class. A lot of dense emotions and physical sensations were released. Thank you Melissa for your grace and ease that you convey.

Love this class and all your classes Melissa. The little tweaks you mention make such a difference in creating space. I especially noticed it with supported triangle, engaging my core and pulling in ribs brough my torso up higher and longer, fantastic!
Awesome class, it really fires up the core
This class was exactly what I needed today - it helped me to be aware of my low back and hips while building core strength...and reminded me to be gentle with myself while working with injury and tightness. I've been having difficulty coming back to my own yoga practice lately and getting on my mat at all.... Melissa's instruction helped me to reconnect with my breath and my body again this afternoon for the first time in a while. Feeling like I'm coming home into my yoga practice again. Thank you thank you thank you!
Melissa is one of my favorite instructors, and this practice was exactly what I have been wanting. I'm working my way through the beginner challenge because, well, because I'm a beginner, and I have to remind myself regularly to be patient with letting my practice build so that I am truly ready for more advanced flows. Today's yoga let me feel a bit of reward for that patience because I was challenged and am walking away feeling fantastic. Thank you!
Really enjoyed Melissa's comforting and encouraging style. I was able to go deeper and create some much needed space in a few neglected areas. Will definitely return to this class and more led by Melissa.

Melissa's guidance is so well articulated I can take my glasses off and just listen to her directions and rarely have to visually check what she is doing...an added bonus to my practice to not have glasses interfering. I would love a few more intermediate level hour long classes from Melissa and then my glasses free practices could expand!
I have been practising mostly intermediary and advanced classes for a few years. I just discovered this class labelled "beginner" and I really enjoyed the slower pace and opportunity to remain deeper and longer in key postures. It was particularly hard these past days to find motivation for yoga - as I felt very anxious and had low energy! - but I'm very grateful for this class and it made me feel much more serene and comfortable in my own skin. I will certainly integrate this class in my yoga routine. Thank you, thank you!

Melissa is so gentle and love her energy and style always. This is a wonderful class, enough for beginner and intermediate.
This is a great start back into yoga. I've been away from yoga for a few months as I've gotten into a more active exercise routine for weight loss and muscle building. I found that my feet began to hurt and that my back kinked up and in general I felt tight all over. I'm gaining balance by getting back into yoga to lengthen those muscles again and strengthen my core. This is a great practice for that -- active enough to get the heart beating a bit, but slow enough to be mindful. Thank you. I'll be doing this practice often.

I have been away from practicing yoga for awhile. David's stretching classes have been helping me work out all the kinks from injury and arthritis, so thankful for his classes. This is a very nice and perfeclty made beginner yoga tutorial! I myself usually do intermediate level tutorials, but thought to try this one today. I really see that it is good for beginner level and wished to have done it when I started with Yoga. The teacher is Melissa is very very good! She remains calm all the time, and I love how she puts the pressure of students and makes them feel that they just have to relax in order to be able to do it! Thank you! :)
I love Melissa's classes, so when I woke up unable to move from sciatica/knee pain, I knew where to go. I can walk again, and think I'll do this class at least a few times a week. Thank you!!!!!!
Almost didn't do this class because of the length but I'm glad I did! She's an amazing teacher and I love her style. I'll be doing more of her ones in the future. Loved the care on the lower back.

Hello-- The video is listed as beginner, but Melissa says it's intermediate when she introduces the practice. I am a beginner myself, so I don't want to overdo it. Is this filed incorrectly as beginner? Thanks!
Yes, I'd say it's solidly beginner. I love it. There is one move (going from side plank to quad stretch) that is prolly intermediate; I modify it or skip it. Enjoy
This was my first video, and my first yoga class. Melissa is wonderful and I feel I could keep coming back to this one video, there is so much meat to work on. Fantastic, loved it.

This was my first ever yoga session. I typically have lower back pain due to poor posture, which is usually very prevalent by the end of the work day (eight hours sitting at a desk).
I did have a little trouble keeping up, which is to be expected since I am a beginner, but my lower back pain is gone after participating in this session!
