This class is a quite an experience. It begins with the Ujayi Breath, then flows through a rigorous sun salutation, warming the body and focusing the mind. It then takes you to the floor, where you move through a series of deep stretches. Best of all, it finishes with a 20-minute Total Body Relaxation!

I did this class as part of the beginner to intermediate yoga course. It's a great step up from the earlier parts of the course.

However, during this class, I managed to pull a muscle in my lower back whilst trying to keep up with David. It's not an issue with the class, but rather my fault for not paying attention to my body. So this is just a reminder to beginners like myself to be careful to keep in touch with your body and not overdo it!

Also, does anyone have any tips on caring for a pulled muscle in the lower back? It's quite painful.

ice and heat alternating in twenty minute intervals is helpful right after it happens (in case this ever happens again). elevating your knees (like if you had a couch or something you could lie down on the floor and drape your legs over so they'd be above heart level). Also, if you happen to have any tiger balm (which is similar to icy hot, there's just no icy) or arnica-based topical pain remedies, i'd suggest applying that a couple times a day. just take it easy. definitely avoid exercise for a little while.

This is the first intermediate level yoga class I've done, as part of the Beginner to Intermediate Yoga program. I appreciated the level of challenge in this video--while it moved beyond the difficulty of a beginner class, it was still manageable for me. I really appreciated the leg and hip openers at the end. Right now I'm struggling with a strain in my knee and after doing the stretches with the strap, I had no pain in my knee at all.

This was trudle amazing! After an almost burn-Out last week, I decided to give this class a try, rather than engaging in my usual favourite power-yoga. Although some of the stretches are still somewhat out of reach for my flexibility (or lack thereof), it was a wonderful class. The timing is perfect, and the relaxation at the end let me fall completely (in fact, I missed the end of the class).
I only started yoga at the end of March, but your site got me hooked, and I've been practising twice to three Times every week since I first started out here.
Thanks, David, for your wonderful class(es), and for this beatiful website which enables me to explore the wonders of yoga inspite of a Self-inflicted work schedule (which is simply not compatible with visiting an offline class)..

I love your gentle, clear teaching style. This one was a great body opener. Noticed it particularly in the legs. Thank you.
