Thanks you for the feedback everyone - especially great to hear that my vocal cues are helpful. It is important to me that my students not have to look at me to know what they are doing, and instead be able to have more of an inward focus. David and I plan to film two new classes this spring and summer - a moderate Hatha and a Yin, so look out for them :)

Thank you so much for this wonderful video. I discovered Do Yoga With Me over a year ago (I think!) when I was very ill with a health condition. I was left unable to do much of anything at all and I was in a lot of physical pain. I was already practicing a little hatha yoga but I needed more variety but was too unwell to be able to make it to classes. I found this site and have used this site regularly since then. I love all the videos I've done and have learnt so much that I've found myself doing my own practice to suit my immediate needs and the time I have available.
Today I was feeling very tired and not at all interested in doing my daily yoga, but I decided to search through all the beginner classes and I found this one. What a find! It was so perfect for what I needed today and I feel relaxed, my body is more comfortable and I am refreshed. I also found the level of strength work in this one perfect for me. After being ill for so long I am very deconditioned and weak and am trying to build that up my strength slowly. This class was just challenging enough for me and not so hard that I'll have excessive pain over the next few days.
Please please do more beginner hatha classes!! You have a lovely teaching style, soothing voice and wonderful instructions. You are my new favourite instructor, along with David of course!

This is a huge compliment, Roisin - thank you; David is one of the best, so especially sweet! I am filming another Hatha class soon - this time a moderate level. This will be a wonderful one for you to transition into as your body becomes stronger and more spacious with a regular practice.

This class didn't feel like an hour at all, probably because it was so calming and yet so much fun. You're a great teacher, Anastasia. I felt really comfortable in this practice, not too strenuous but not too easy either. Also, I never realized how tight my hamstrings are :o I loved the focus on breathing and the constant reminders to breath (sometimes I forget hehe) which is really important. Thanks again, amazing work!!

This is one of my "go to" classes when I need a restorative class! Somehow you just know that I am clenching my jaw or toes at that moment and I appreciate your frequent reminders to soften and relax. I was feeling a bit achy and sore today and could feel a migraine headache coming on so knew I needed BB&T tonight...about halfway through the practice I could feel the tension melt out of my shoulders and neck. No need for my prescription medication (yay)! In fact, I have relied on prescription medication for my migraines for over 20 years but since I began practicing yoga this year (2-3 studio classes per week and DYWM the remainder of the week) I have not required any meds.

I also enjoy your Yin class...I really hope you plan to add more classes to soon!

BTW-when I first started my practice and using DYWM, I found this class to be an excellent prep for Fiji's more challenging Foundations in Flow...these two classes work nicely together.

I have always loved yoga. It soothes the mind and the body. And this one is very relaxing. This is the type of yoga that really calms the mind. Keep making more vids like this pls. It is really good. Bless you dear.
