14-day Advanced Yoga Challenge

Yes, it's true. We have launched our subscriber-only 14-Day 'Push Your Limits' Advanced Yoga Challenge. It is fourteen days of really tough - some may say grueling - yoga classes that push your boundaries, make you sweat, work your muscles, stretch your body deeply and move you into arm balances, foot balances, headstands, backbends and arm binds that may discourage or inspire, depending on how you deal with challenge.

We are calling it 'Push Your Limit's' because of the many ways that it does this - physically, mentally and spiritually. You will need to have an extraordinary level of focus and will power to complete one class, then do another with the same intensity the next day. You will also need an exceptional amount of humility, for the times that you are miles away from attempting to go where the teacher is taking you.

Remember, as much as it is often portrayed this way, yoga is not about looking glamorous or achieving difficult poses. Yoga is the death of the ego, the letting go of desire and accomplishment. It is an opportunity to learn about yourself, and placing yourself on an especially difficult path is a particularly effective way to do this, since it will give you more moments of intense learning and self realization, more opportunities to fail, and therefore more chances to see how you deal with failure.

If you would like to see whether you are ready for our 14-Day Advanced Yoga Challenge, you could try a few of our more challenging intermediate classes, such as:

Use the classes above to work your way up to our advanced yoga classes. Also, a great 2-part series that can help you move toward more advanced classes is Crista's Koundinyasana Fun I (37:08) and Koundinyasana Fun II (71:18), two classes that help you progress into Eka Pada Koundinyasana B, then to Eka Pada Koundinyasana A.

Since this challenge is for subscribers only, if you are not a subscriber yet and would like to do the challenge go to our Join page and select the box in the middle to subscribe. You can choose between paying $5 per month or $55 per year and you have access to all of our subscriber only content, as well as an ad-free experience of the site and the karmic joy of keeping our site free for all of those who can't afford to pay for yoga.

Enjoy the challenge and share your experience, comments and questions in our forum.
