In this video, David teaches you how to use pranayama (yoga breathing exercises) to move energy through your body, clear out energetic blockages and help you feel lighter, less inhibited and more relaxed. You will be doing deep abdominal breathing, the cleansing breath, kapalabhati, retentions, yogic locks (bandhas) and meditation. If you're looking to progress with pranayama, the class that is meant to go before this class is David's Pranayama Yoga To Wake Up.

I really like the combination of breath exercises. This is a great addition to my asana practice - thank you

Thank you, but I have a question: When you do the contractions you start with a half breath, and then do you do a little inhale and exhale within the contractions? How is the counting for the contractions?

So many great resources here. I love sitting for this breathing practice – something very easy to ‘take with’ me wherever I may find myself.

Love it! It took me quite a few times to get the hang of the kapalabhati breathing but once I got the hang of it, it has left me much lighter and more energy for the day. Thanks David.
